Obituary of David Allan Jones

David A. Jones, age 68 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Saturday, August, 14, 2021 at his home. He was born in Kingston on January 27, 1953 and was the son of the late Elmer Jones and Neta Birth-Jones. David was the proud owner/operator of David A. Jones Building and Remodeling, Sweet Valley, for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting and fishing. David was a drummer for the band, Flashback. He loved to travel, fish in several tournaments, and visit his cabin in Canada. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, June Brocca and brother, Eugene Gray. David is survived by son, David Jones; daughter, Jessica Reakes and her husband,Lawrence; sister, Margaret Pryor; grandchildren, Connor and Ashton Jones and Madison Reakes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; his beloved dog, Boo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 12:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Sweet Valley. Memorial donations can be made to the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, 239 Church Rd., Harveys Lake, PA 18618.
