Obituary of Ann Marie Stewart

Ann Marie Stewart, age 81 of Plymouth Township, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on March 4, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice Mushek Daniels. Ann Marie graduated from Hanover High School. She was employed by Faith Shoe Company for several years before retiring from Acme/Penn Traffic Corp. Ann Marie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Plymouth and St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Wilkes-Barre. She loved both of her grandsons, David and Joey, and was always proud of their accomplishments. In addition to her parents, Ann Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Harvey F. “Whitey” Stewart, Jr.; sisters, Sophia and Helen; and brothers, Walter, Jr. and Paul. She is survived by daughter, Cindy Ann Stewart Blaine and husband Joseph B. Blaine, Jr. of Harveys Lake; grandsons, David and Joseph; sister, Vera Daniels; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 11:00 AM from St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 58 Seneca St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702 with the Archimandrite Michael Thier, officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 30, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. Interment will be in Stairville Cemetery, Slocum Township.
