Obituary of Alice Theresa Daniels

Alice T. Brown Daniels, (affectionately known as Gigi) of Wyoming, formerly of Lehman, entered into her heavenly home Thursday afternoon while surrounded by loved ones at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains. Alice was an 85 year old woman who lived her life with quiet dignity, compassion, and Christian values. She maintained her gentle, kind ways right up to the end of her earthly journey. Alice was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian Nagle and was a graduate from Ashley High School class of 1944. She was a hard-working, loving mother with various employments: riveter, waitress, seamstress, housekeeper, and finally retiring from General Hospital. Alice was a long time member of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church and attended, regularly, the Wyoming United Methodist Church where she was active in the Women's Society. She did volunteer work at Mission Central Shoemaker Hub and was involved with the Wyoming/West Wyoming Senior Citizens. Alice was also a long distance supporter of the Amazing Grace Baptist Church, Georgia. Along with her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Brown, and her second husband Donald Daniels. Her brothers Thomas, Joseph, and Paul Nagle, and sisters Mary Howatt, Elizabeth LaPoint, Anna Crawford, and stepson Donald Daniels. Surviving Alice are her children and their spouses: Fred and Linda Brown, Alexandria VA, Faye and Phillip Hobbs, Lawrenceville, GA, Glenna and Michael Pocceschi, Exeter, Susie and Jack Snyder, Lehman. Her step-sons Sam and Mary Ann Daniel, Wapwallopen, and Wayne and Georgia Daniels, Warrior Run and her sister and friend, Henrietta Marconi, Mountaintop; Her beloved grandchildren: Rebecca Pipino, Damon Brown, Jason Hobbs, Jessica Cavegn, Michael and Bryan Pocceschi, Kristi Lyons, Mickey Snyder, Sam Daniel, Beth Jablonski, and Dana Daniels, and of course Gigi's pride, her 13 great grandchildren. Funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek with Pastor Bob Ryder of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Loyalville. Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the PCU and ICU staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.
