At this time we are saddened by the passing of our dear brother Curt, But yet we rejoice in the knowledge that he is now in the prescience of our Lord and Savior. Curt was a good man and a good friend to our family. Many times Curt had helped us through the passing of our loved ones. Now we say until we meet again on Heaven's shore. Prayers go out to Curt's family and we send our heart felt condolences. Curt is Finally Home and he is enjoying his Salvation. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
With deepest sympathy

From DAVID, EMMA & ALEXANDRA CRANSTON - UK, NORTHERN IRELAND
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our dear friend Curt. We only knew him for a few years but he impacted us greatly. He was a very kind and loving man. Curt is now in heaven with his Lord and Saviour, not because Curt was a good man, and he sure was, it was because he put his faith and trust in Jesus Christ as his Lord.
We will sure miss you Curt but we will meet again.
All our love to the Swanson Family from Northern Ireland

Curt expressed compassion, nobility and kindness with the passing of my father and my grandparents. I spoke with him recently with the passing of my Aunt Mary. I recall speaking with him after my retirement, and he mentioned that he was looking forward to retirement himself. He stands in the Kingdom of Heaven now, deserving of the respite of this mortal world. God bless his family, while those of us who knew him understand that it is never goodbye. Until then, and thank you, Curt....

We who are left behind are saddened but we need to remember
Curt is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he loved with all his heart and soul. He was such a kind and gentle soul but yet he could handle any situation that came before him. I served with him as a deacon and I saw wisdom, sternness and kindness all at the same. I shared tears and joy with him. I guess you could call him a gentle giant. He took the time to come to my house and give my dad a ride in his model A which made my dad very happy. We can cry and be sad over his passing but remember he has reached the goal we all strive for, to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will be together again

Keith ,Todd and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Curt's passing. I had been praying and praying that he would get well. I do not know when the life long friendship started between the Swanson's and the Piatt's but we spent a lot of time together at Sandy Beach, school functions and had many a meal at each others homes. June and Mom where life long friends and Howard and Carl where too. Keith is the quiet one and Todd is the practical joker and Curt was a combination, he could be quiet but those who knew him well knew he had the greatest sense of humor and such a laugh. I had the pleasure of working for Curt for a while before I moved away years ago.
Curt was such a great man and a great friend to all who knew him. He served the community over the years and helped people through the hardest times.
I remember when my dad died I lived in Idaho and my flight did not get in to Avoca until 11:30 at night. Curt told my sister if Nancy wants to come by when she gets in you bring her to the funeral home so she can have some time with Howard.
So there we where after midnight crying and laughing and talking about all the good times with Dad, the Piatt' and the Swanson's.
Curt knew his calling and he was so good with people. Besides being a good man and a good friend Curt was a true example of a Christian. I can just see Curt breaking bread with God and when he got there I can just see June saying what are you doing here you should not be here yet. What a reunion he is having. You are loved by so many people and the world has truly lost a wonderful soul.
I feel so blessed to have called you and your family my friend. Nancy Piatt

Our most heartfelt sincere condolences, we are heart-broken to learn of Curt's passing. Neil & I are thinking of you and sending lots of love, and are keeping you all in our prayers.
We hope you are surrounded by love, comfort and compassion. People like Curt are really rare. He was such a wonderful, loving, funny, caring, thoughtful, beloved, compassionate man; I could go on and on. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
I am taking comfort that he is home with our father, his/your parents, and my parents. He had such a special relationship with his Uncle Jim and Aunt (Mable) Barbara. We wish we could be with you to celebrate his life. May God keep you strong and united through this tough time.
Love you always,
