Obituary of Cora Hoagland

Cora B. Hoagland, age 80 of Hunlock Creek, died Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Meadows Nursing Center Dallas, PA. She was born in Hunlock Creek on May 12, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Orval and Mildred Briggs Cragle. Cora enjoyed needlepoint and embroidery. She received many ribbons for her craft at the Luzerne County Fair. She also enjoyed Bible study and attended Sweet Valley Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers,Orval and Arthur. Cora is survived by brother, Alvin Cragle of Lehman; nephews, Kevin and Debbie, Falls, and Todd and Wanda, Lehman; along with several other nephews and nieces. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Rocky Bonomo officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Private Interment will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Hunlock Creek.
