My sincere condolences and sympathy goes out to the entire Carey and Covert Families, Janet, Dr. Kevin Carey and family and Tiffany and family. I was Carl’s youngest foster brother having been raised by his beloved parents Carl Sr. and Laura Carey. I have a lifetime of very fond memories with Carl. From when I was just a very young boy I got to know Carl as “Uncle Ken.” Carl was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and a dedicated public servant to his community. My fondest memory of Carl is when he was the Roadmaster for Harvey’s Lake back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. It was dead in the middle of winter and the salt spreader on the dump truck quit working. Carl asked me if I would be willing to help him out by getting on the back of the dump truck to spread the salt and sand by hand with a shovel. We worked through the entire night taking care of the roads surrounding Harvey’s Lake, that was how dedicated Carl was. Carl would do anything for anyone regardless whether he knew them or not. Carl Thank You for your service to this great Nation and country, we will be forever grateful to you. You have served your country and community well ole faithful servant. May God bless you with open arms as you enter into the gates of heaven. May you forever have eternal peace for the good deeds you have done on this earth. Please say Hi to Mom and Dad for me. You will forever be missed but not forgotten. Your legacy and legend will live on for decades and centuries to come and for others to follow. Rest well and easy “Uncle Ken!” Love forever your Foster Brother Richard

Sending our deepest condolences to the Carey and Stogoski families. Remembering him fondly as a baseball all-stars coach and avid supporter of LL football when Kevin and I played together in high school. Wishing you all peace and comfort at this time.
