Obituary of Mary Kubasti

Mary Kubasti, age 96 of Dallas, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Kubasti was born in Swoyersville on September 19, 1916 and was the daughter of the late John and Eva Rynich Ondish. Mary was a lifelong resident of Dallas. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by General Cigar Manufacturing, Luzerne. She was a member of the Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and quilting. Her husband, John Michael Kubasti, Sr., preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Sharon Morgan; brothers: John and Andrew Ondish and her sister, Sue Roberts. Surviving are children: John Kubasti,Jr., Shavertown and Mary Michaels, Berkley Springs, W. Virginia; brothers: George Ondish of Dallas and Peter Ondish of Ocala, Florida; sisters: Ann Plesnar and Helen Kamont, both of Dallas; 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., Pikes Creek.
