Obituary of Donna Jean Sorber

Donna J. Sorber, age 71 of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was born in Kingston, on December 25, 1948, and was the daughter of the late Perry and Martha Bombay Hoover. Donna graduated from Lake Lehman High School in 1966. She was employed as a waitress at the Rickett's Glen Hotel for 10 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney; sons, Bart and Brett. Surviving are: brother, William Hoover, Dallas; sister, Barbara Tobin, Okeechobee, FL; her 2 cats, Sassy and Thomas. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. L.D. Reed officiating. Private interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., Pikes Creek.
