Obituary of Doris Elizabeth Ide

Doris E. Ide, age 74 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Mountain Top Senior Care & Rehabilitation Center.. Mrs. Ide was born July 1, 1938 in Tunkhannock and was the daughter of the late Charles and Mable Shoop Everetts. Prior to retiring due to illness, she was employed as an aide for the elderly for many years. Doris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by grandchildren: Donald Geiger, Jr., Anthony Fox, Jr., and Justin Fox; brothers: Watson and Charles Everetts and a sister: Gilberta Schooley. Surviving are daughters: Cindy Parsons and her husband, Howard, Theresa Fox and her husband Anthony and Lisa Reilly and her husband, Michael all of Hunlock creek; son: Donald Geiger and his companion, Carolyn of Indian Trail, NC; Sister: Jesse Jurista of Beaumont; Grandchildren: Howard, Jr., Janel, Kimberly, Kody, Kevin, Tracy, Michael and Dale, Katelyn, Jacob and Jennifer; 8 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11:00 AM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Dan Brubaker of the Roaring Brook Baptist church officiating. There will be no calling hours.
