Obituary of Betty Louise Starcun

Betty L. Starcun, age 86, formerly of Plymouth, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, where she had been a guest for the last 7 years. Mrs. Starcun was born October 1, 1926 in Charleston, WV, and was the daughter of the late Charles P. and Catherine Simmons Bennett. Betty was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved taking care of and cooking for all her family and will be greatly missed by all of them. Her husband, Stephen Starcun, Sr., died December 26, 2000. Betty was also preceded in death by a son, Peter Starcun and a daughter, Betty Lou Starcun. Surviving are daughters: Shirley Kittle and her husband, Harry, of Sweet Valley and Sharon Maxwell and her husband, John, of Plymouth; son: Stephen Starcun, Jr. of Plymouth; sister: Bernadine Gronchick of Edwardsville; granddaughter: Darcy Partington and her husband, Jim, of Sweet Valley; grandson: John Wolfe and his wife, Dawn of Plymouth; great grandsons: Justin, James and Jeramy; great granddaughter: Sharon; nieces and nephews. Betty's family would like to thank the staff at the Meadows Nursing Center for the wonderful care she received over the last 7 years' Funeral will be private at the convenience of the family from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek. There will be no calling hours.
