Obituary of Mary Judith Sarmonis

Mary Judith Sarmonis, age 48 of Exeter, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

She was born in Scranton on July 4, 1970 and was the daughter of Michael Serino of Daleville and the late Doris Stelene Serino.

Mary graduated from West Scranton High School in 1988 and was employed at Kemper Insurance Co. in Moosic and later at Maximus Federal Services in Pittston.

In addition to her father, she is survived by husband, Shaun; son, Justin Cobb; daughter, Julia Sarmonis; brothers, Michael and Frank Serino; sister, Arlene McFeeley; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 17, 2019 at 12:00 pm from the Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, PA 18643 with Monsignor John Sempa, officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday prior to the Mass at the church.

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
