Obituary of John Theodore Snyder

Jack (John) T. Snyder, III, age 65 of Lehman, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. He was born in Kingston on September 7, 1953 and was the son of the late John, Jr. and Phyllis Sutton Snyder. Jack graduated from Dallas High School in 1971 and was employed by Acme Markets for 30 years. He was highly involved in Back Mountain Little League for over 40 years. Jack was a member of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Snyder, sister, Charlene Buzin and her husband Frank. Jack is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Susie Brown; daughter, Kristi Lyons and her husband Jason of Harveys Lake; son, Mickey Snyder and his wife Sarah of West Chester; brothers, Donald Snyder of Dallas and Boyd Snyder of Harveys Lake; grandchildren, Jordyn, Jayden, Camryn and Kinley; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 4:30 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Lori Robinson of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Private interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
