Obituary of Ruth Murray Hiller

Ruth Murray Hiller, age 76 of the Dallas area, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at home. She was born in Wilkes-Barre on January 7, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Robert Murray Simmonette, Sr. and the late Ruth Vernice Eddy Simmonette. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Native Textiles in Dallas for over 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Jack Hiller, brother, Robert Simmonette, Jr and sister, Diane Tudgay. Ruth is survived by daughters, Patricia Archacavage of Plymouth, Dawn Roushey of Dallas and Carole Wojnarski and her husband Michael of Mehoopany; brothers, Barry and Marc Simmonette; grandchildren, Krysta Blackwell, Matthew Cragle, Emily Wojnarski and Erin Roushey; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Andrew and Alayna; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 7:30 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Ruth Liples of the Orange United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 712 S. Keyser Ave., Taylor, PA 18517 or St. Jude's Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
