Kenneth D. Phillips, age 38 of Dallas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 8, 2018 at home. He was born in Wilmington, DE on November 1, 1979 and was the son of Leonard P. Phillips, Jr. of Buffalo, NY and Joanne Hartrim of Ocala, FL. Kenneth was a journeyman at Offset Paperback in Dallas where he was employed from the last 20 years. He bred, raised and loved his Newfoundland dogs. Kenneth was an accomplished cook who enjoyed preparing and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He was preceded in death by sister, Kelly Harroun. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 9 years, Ruth Pearl Kennedy; brother, Tom Cousineau of Arizona; sisters, Kasey Hersey of Oregon and Heather Hartrim-Lowe of Washington; step-father, Bob Hartrim of Ocala, FL. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
