Mary J. Jones, age 85 of Monroe Twp., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Mrs. Jones was born in Franklin Forks on February 6, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Earl and Florence Coon Hickok. Mary was a member of the Northmoreland Baptist Church, Centermoreland. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting rugs. Mary always greeted people with a pleasant smile. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, George and Richard Hickok and sisters, Gertrude Summers and Nellie Wagstaff. Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard "Dick" Jones; brothers, Fred Hickok and Donald Hickok and his wife Ruth; sister, Jeanette St. Louis. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 12:00 pm from the Northmoreland Baptist Church, 21 Ripple Brook Rd., Tunkhannock, PA 18657 with Pastor James Howell and Pastor Kurt Seboe, officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Friday prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Dymond Section of Orcutt's Grove Cemetery, Monroe Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Northmoreland Baptist Church, 21 Ripple Brook Rd., Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
