Obituary of Judith Ann Williams

Judith Ann Williams, age 74 of Hunlock Creek, passed from this life on Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, after many years of health problems. She was born in Mooretown on August 13, 1943 and was the daughter of the late C. George and Alma A. Keller Covert. Judith graduated in the class of 1960 from Lake-Lehman High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting. Many friends and relatives have afghans or baby afghans that she gave them. Judy was a very outgoing person who was willing to help anyone anytime. She was an active member of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for the last 30 years. Judy was the secretary/treasurer and a trustee of the Bloomingdale Cemetery Association for the last 32 years. Before health issues would no longer allow her, she was an EMT and member of the Sweet Valley Ambulance crew. Judy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dean L. Williams; sons, Larry and Mark; granddaughters, Emily and Caroline; sister, Sandra Mitchell; brother, Alan Covert. She will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Jim McGee of the Bloomingdale United Methodist Church, officiating. Friends may call 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sweet Valley Ambulance Association, 5399 Main Rd., Sweet Valley, PA 18656. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Fresenius Medical Care in Nanticoke for all of their love and support over the last 7 years.
