Obituary of Alice Delphine Walsh

Alice D. Walsh, age 84 of Sweet Valley, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on August 4, 2017 at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born December 12, 1932 in Lehman Township, she was the daughter of the late C. Arthur and Irene Pollack Ehret. Alice was a graduate of the former Lehman High School, Class of 1951. She and her husband Bob faithfully served the community on the Sweet Valley Ambulance for over 50 years. Alice was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: brothers: Sheldon, Howard, Glenn, and Stewart Ehret; sister: Alberta Foss. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; son: Robert L. Walsh and his wife, Patricia, New Market, MD; sister: Pauline Calkins, Sweet Valley; grandchildren: Nicole and Robert Walsh. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 9, 2017 at 11 AM from the River of Life Fellowship, Lehman, with Pastor Kenneth Kreller officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., Corner of Rtes. 29 & 118, Pikes Creek.
