Obituary of Annamae Scott

Annamae "Ann" Scott, age 85 of Covington Twp., formerly of Dallas Twp., passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 after an extended fight against the neurologic disorder Progressive Supraneuclear Palsy, PSP.
Born February 18, 1932 in Wilkes-Barre to the late John Michael and Jessie Miller Wallace. Ann was the widow of Alvin H. Scott, Sr., who passed away May 5, 2004. At the time of his passing, they were married for more than 50 years. Ann graduated from Kingston High School, class of 1951. She was primarily a homemaker but retired from the Dallas School District as the "snack lady" in the Dallas Elementary School.
She was Mom to Ann and husband, Stanley Weslowski, with whom she resided and were her primary caregivers along with her daughter, Audrey Krispin and her husband Daniel of Centermoreland. Ann is also survived by sons, Alvin, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Dallas, Alan M. of Centermoreland, Arthur C. of Dallas, and Anthony D. and his wife Clare of Hunlock Creek; sisters, Nancy Doroskewicz and Janet Murgallis of Edwardsville; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews; dear sister-in-law, Della Dymond and brother-in-law, Gene Scott; Annamae also leaves behind many people who considered her "Mom" and "Gram", far too many to list, and her lifelong friend, Ruth Sabecky and many other friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Jack, Marion Straigis, Robert, James, infant Edward, Betty Dymond and Donald.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Ben Hubbell of the Noxen Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Friends may call 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
The family would also like to recognize the exceptional care of Drs. Cornacchione and Michael and Kimberly Kovalick; Dr. Nancy Diaz of St.Luke's Neurology; the Staff of Telespond; heartfelt thanks to the many caregivers of Life Geisinger, we are indebted to these wonderful people who loved and cared for her as one of their own; VNA nursing especially Janice and the staff of Celtic Hospice.
