Obituary of Jean Marie Scouton

Jean Marie Scouton, age 73 formerly of Noxen, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Mrs. Scouton was born in Tunkhannock on May 20, 1943 , and was the daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Ayers Keithline. Jean had many creative talents of which she loved to share with everyone. Her enjoyment of music was shared through her love of playing piano. She made memories that will be forever cherished. Jean had a strong love for her family. Her passion and love for the Lord was shown through her determination to share God's word. Jean and her husband, Robert,p fostered many babies and teenagers, their hearts and home were always wide open to share their love. May Jean rest in peace in the arms of her Lord and Savior. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Scouton who passed away December 21, 2001, son, Robert who passed away in 1993, brothers, Harry, Barney and William, sisters, Rose, Clara, Margorie, Louise and Barbara. Jean is survived by daughters, Robin Schmig and her husband Scott of Dallas, Laurie Buchanan and her husband Ken of Hummelstown, Lisa Sims and her husband Karl of Centermoreland, and Tammy Scouton of Sweet Valley; brother, David and sister, Bertha "Pat"; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Lynn Mowka, officiating. Friends may call 9:00 - 11:00 AM prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Dymond Section of Orcutt's Grove Cemetery, Noxen.
