Obituary of Richard Edward Williams, III

Richard E. Williams, III, age 43 of Harveys Lake, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 13, 2016 at home.
Rich was born in Wilkes-Bare on December 26, 1972 and was the son of Richard, II and Charlotte Hogan Williams of Harveys Lake.
Rich graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1991, where he played football and was a wrestler. He served in the US Marine Corps as a crew chief on a CH-46 helicopter serving many theaters in the middle east. Rich worked for the Harveys Lake Boro Road Dept. prior to enlistment. He was also employed at Tobyhanna Army Depot for 15 years where he recently became division chief for quality control. Rich was also named to fill a post at the Harveys Lake Boro Council. He was a deputy EMA coordinate for Harveys Lake Boro and was an active member of the Harveys Lake, Kunkle and Idetown Fire Companies. Rich was a loving father of his daughter, McKayla. He was a loving son and brother who made his family very proud.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Dick and Ruth Williams, and maternal grandparents, Joe and Marion Hogan.
In addition to his parents and daughter, Rich is survived by sister, Heather Hules and her husband Andy and their son, Andrew, all of Harveys Lake; loving companion, Ashley Haddle and her daughter, Natalie of Harveys Lake; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with family friend,Chris Sutton, officiating.
Friends may call 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
