Jean Marie (Brown) Agnew Gildea, age 90 formerly of Idetown and Ashley, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mrs. Gildea was born in Pringle on October 20, 1925 and was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Johnson Brown.
Jean graduated from Lehman-Jackson High School and prior to retiring was employed by the Social Security Department in Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by 1st husband, C. Leslie Agnew, Jr. and 2nd husband, Leo Gildea, brothers, Jack and Jerry Brown and sister, Jane Bolan.
Jean is survived by children, Sandra Hollos of Glen Allen, VA, Joy Schuler of Harveys Lake and Brian Agnew of Loyalville; brother, Joseph Brown of Eden, NY; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson; nieces and nephews, step-children, and step-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas, with Robert Van Gorder of the Lehman Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
