Obituary of Catherine E. Houssock

Catherine E. (Shimko) Houssock, age 81 of Sweet Valley, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 13th 2015.
She was born in Larksville on September 22, 1934 and was the daughter of Michael and Amelia (Mleczynski) Shimko.
Catherine was active in many groups and organizations including Girl Scouts, Fairmont Township Voluntary Fire Company, Lake Lehman Band Parents, Saint Martha's Garden Club and many others. Catherine was a devoted member of her church, Saint Martha's Catholic Church, Fairmont Springs where she was a Greeter and Eucharistic Minister for more than twenty years. Catherine was the loving wife to her Husband, Michael Houssock Sr. for 64 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by son, William Thomas, brothers Michael, John and Joseph Shimko, sisters Martha Shimko, and Mary Chabak.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by her sons John Houssock and his wife Ann, Sweet Valley, Michael Houssock Jr and his wife Janet, Sweet Valley, daughters Eleanor Donnelly and her husband Joe, Larksville, Carol Wroble and her husband Michael, Hanover Twp., Anna Boltz and her husband Bill, Sylvan Lake, Catherine Barden and her husband Jim of Coventry, Rhode Island, 15 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, Sister Agnes Heath of Rockmart Georgia and Millie Thomas of Lakeland Florida, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 18, 2015 at 10:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am from the St. Martha's Church, 260 Bonnieville Rd, Stillwater, PA 17878, with Rev. Lewis Kaminski, officiating.
Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Saint Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Plymouth.
