Shirley Ann Corbett, age 72 of Dallas, passed away after fighting a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, December 14, 2015 at the Mercy Center, Dallas, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Corbett was born in Toledo, OH on February 7, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Leonard, Sr. and Anna Zosh Crawford.
Shirley graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. She was the owner of Custom Resume Service in Wilkes-Barre for several years. As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she most enjoyed spending time with her family. Shirley was a member of the Harveys Lake Women's Service Club and was a CCD teacher at Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Roy Crawford.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 52 years, John F. Corbett, Jr; son, John F. Corbett, III of Dallas; daughter, Colleen Fitch and her husband Dale of Windermere, FL; brothers, Leonard Crawford, Jr. and his wife Shirley of Sweet Valley and Gary Crawford and his wife Beverly of Galeton; grandchildren, Madison and Maia Fitch.
Funeral services will be private and there will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
The family requests memorial donations to be made in Shirley's name to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 100 William St, Dunmore, PA or Mercy Center, 301 Lake Street, Dallas, PA 18612.
