John N. Thompson, age 60 of Trucksville, passed away due to complications of a stem cell transplant on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the Hospital Of The University Of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Mr. Thompson was born in Kingston on November 11, 1955 and was the son of the late Edward and Alice Shaver Thompson. John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was employed as a journeyman in the bindery department of Offset Paperback in Dallas for 35 years. John was a member of Valley with a Heart Motorcycle Club. John was always willing to help anyone in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Cathy Rozelle. John is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Wilma Harrison; daughter, Sara Harrison of Berwick; grandchildren, Eric and Mackenzie. Friends may call 2-4 PM on Sunday, December 13 at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. There will be no funeral service. The family would like to thank all of John's friends who helped them over the years during his illness. The family also requests that all flowers be omitted.
