Joan Helen Pall, age 81 of Sweet Valley, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice Healthcare Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre. Mrs. Pall was born in Plymouth Township on April 30, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Helen Minnick Mahon. Joan was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2012 and a brother, Donald Mahon. Joan is survived by daughter, Cynthia Cain of Sweet Valley; brother, Charles Mahon of Bethlehem; sister, Mary Lou Stuart of Maryland; grandchildren, Harold and his wife Erin and Christopher; great-granddaughters, Cecelia and Lydia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 2011 SR 29, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621 with Rev. Richard Fox officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to Celtic Hospice, 601 Wyoming Ave, Kingston, PA 18704. Online condolences can be made at clswansonfuneralhome.com
