Obituary of Annette Louise Koutnik

Annette Louise Koutnik, age 75 of Harveys Lake, passed away quietly Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas.
Mrs. Koutnik was born in Noxen on June 20, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline Jones Shalata.
Annette worked at Offset Paperback in Dallas for 20 years starting in the press, before transferring into the scheduling department. She was a member of the St. Therese's Church in Shavertown. Annette was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. She was a strong loving person who will be sadly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Koutnik who passed away in 2007, brothers, Joseph Shalata, and Thomas Shalata and his wife Phyllis, nephew, Dutchie Shalata, and brother-in-law, Dana Field.
Annette is survived by sons, Ernest Daily and his wife Marianne of Coatesville and Edward Daily and his wife Kelley of Honeybrook; daughter, Janeen Daily of Harveys Lake; brother, William Shalata and his wife Lucy of Noxen; sisters, Joyce Thomas and her husband Paul of Sweet Valley and Judy Field of Jamestown, NY; sister-in-law, Janet Shalata of Tunkhannock; grandchildren, Reaghan, Maredyth, E.J., Ethan, McKayla, and Kyle; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM from the St. Therese's Church, 64 Davis St, Shavertown, PA 18708, with Rev. James J. Paisley officiating.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Medical Oncology Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704
A special thanks to the great nurses and aides at the Meadows Nursing Center and Celtic Hospice for their excellent care and always making her feel comfortable.
