Obituary of Thomas Warren Raspen

Thomas Warren Raspen, age 71 of Hunlock Creek, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Mr. Raspen was born in Ross Township on September 12, 1944 and was the son of the late Albert and Lillian White Raspen. Thomas graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1962 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the Labor Local #215, Scranton, and the Grace Community Church, Dallas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Lori, son, Jeremy, and brother, Bud. Thomas is survived by his wife, the former Kim Telford; sons, Brock Raspen and his wife Ashley of Hunlock Creek, and Tommy Sayre and his wife Pamela of Ohio; daughter, Melanie Raspen of Reiffton, PA; step-daughters, Jill and Jaimie Youngblood, both of Los Angeles, CA; brother, Albert Raspen, Jr. of Hunlock Creek; sister, Evelyn Taylor of Hunlock Creek; sister-in-law, Gladys Raspen of Hunlock Creek; grandchildren, Bayne, Alaina, Willow, Justin, and Allie. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Grace Community Church, 4122 Memorial Hwy, Dallas, PA 18612, with Rev. Roland Preisler, officiating. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc. corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Grace Community Church, 4122 Memorial Hwy., Dallas, PA 18621.
