Obituary of Phyllis Elaine Cragle

Phyllis Elaine Cragle, age 80 of Lehman, went home to be with her Lord due to complications from Scleroderma on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Cragle was born in Kingston on January 1, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jessie Kocher Swan. Phyllis graduated from Lehman-Jackson in 1952 and was employed by the former Commonwealth Telephone Co., and in food service at the Lake-Lehman High School for over 25 years. She was a member of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, Lehman. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Phyllis was an excellent baker and enjoyed canning, crafting, and camping with her family. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Alvin Cragle; sons, Kevin J. Cragle and his wife Debbie of Falls and Todd L. Cragle and his wife Wanda of Lehman; sister, Leanora Swan of Lehman; 2 granddaughters, Cassandra and Taylor. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Lori Robinson of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church and Pastor James Howell, former pastor of the Northmoreland Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Kocher Cemetery, Lake Twp. The family would like to thank the CCU staff at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital especially Bob, Marlene, Brenda, and Susan for their compassionate and skillful care they gave to Phyllis.
