Obituary of Thomas S. Bukowski

Thomas S. Bukowski, age 73, of Lake Silkworth, passed away Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Wilkes Barre General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Jermyn, April 16, 1942 and was the son of the late Alexander and Julia Hallowich Bukoski.
He graduated from Nanticoke High School and received his degree in accounting. He was a proud and trusted long time member of the Carpenter's Union Local 514 of Wilkes Barre for over 35 years where he served as treasurer, trustee, secretary and vice president, retiring in 1998. He helped establish the Outpost Sportsman's Club, Lake Silkworth where he served as treasurer. Tom enjoyed fishing trips with his family and visiting the race track with his friends. Tom loved his dogs Beta, Wilson and Buddy. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was also a devoted husband and loving father.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Walter, Edward and Paul; sisters: Mary Krajewski and Alice Antonik.
Surviving are his wife the former Rita Bello; children: Thomas E Bukowski and his wife, Kim of Wapwallopen, Beth Ann Kratz and her husband, Tim of Nanticoke, Stephen Bukowski of Nanticoke, Judi Grunza of Daytona Beach FL, Carla Evarts and her husband, Tim of W. Wyoming, Kristin Gordon and her husband, Charlie of Harvey's Lake; brothers: Alexander of Warrior Run, John of Nanticoke; sister: Rose Kasprzyk; 15 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
According to Tom's wishes he donated his body for anatomical study and research and desired to have no viewing or funeral services.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to the Medical Oncology Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce St., Kingston, PA 18704.
