Obituary of James Alan Mushal

James A. Mushal, age 55 of Shickshinny, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Celtic Hospice Healthcare Inpatient Unit, Wilkes Barre, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Mushal was born December 19, 1959 in Wilkes-Barre and was the son of Ada Jacoby Mushal of Nanticoke and the late Edward Mushal.
James graduated from Northwest Area High School in 1977 and was employed as a telephone installer for Frontier Communications. He was an active volunteer fire fighter and EMT since the age of 17, most recently with the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Company. He attended Fellowship Church in Dallas. One of Jim's greatest passions was southern gospel music, and for many years had been involved as a concert promoter, bringing several notable groups to our area, as well as the Lancaster County area. He was a loving husband and father, loyal friend and was very devoted to his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Edward Mushal, II.
James is survived by his wife of 28 years, the former Wendy Pollock; daughter Megan Mushal, at home; sister Anita Zimmerman of Hunlock Creek; various in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May, 7, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Fellowship Church, 45 Hildebrandt Rd., Dallas, PA 18612 with Pastor Marc Ramirez of the Fellowship Church and Pastor Dan Brubaker of the Roaring Brook Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 207, Sweet Valley, PA 18656.
