Obituary of Harry D. Wesley

Harry D. Wesley, Sr., age 77 of Dallas, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Mr. Wesley was born in Kingston on October 30, 1937 and was the son of the late George and Claire Deets Wesley. Harry was the owner/operator of Wesley's Towing and Repair Service in Dallas. He also operated White Birch Mobile Home Park in Dallas and later acquired Copper Kettle Mobile Home Park in Beaumont. Harry was a police officer for Dallas Borough and Dallas Township and was a constable for Lehman Township. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and touring in his RV. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Harry D. Wesley, Jr. and brothers, George and Wardan Wesley. Harry is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Nancy Spencer; sons, Robert Wesley and his wife Sherry of Hunlock Creek, Robin Wesley and his wife Donna of Sweet Valley, and Brian Wesley and companion Sandra of Evans Falls; brothers, Donald Wesley of Sweet Valley and Larry Wesley of Shavertown; sisters, June Littleford of Nanticoke, Mary Warman of Plains, Lois Sayre of Sweet Valley, and Beverly Steltz of Kingston; grandchildren, Jaime and Kyle; great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Hope Rivenburg; half-brother, Ferman Wesley; half-sister, Jean Atkinson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 10:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Richard Rexrode of the Sweet Valley Church of Christ and Pastor Gary DeSanto of the Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Back Mountain Regional Fire and EMS, 184 East Center Hill Road, Dallas, PA 18612-1154.
