Obituary of Corey Daniel Traver

Corey D. Traver, age 85 of Noxen, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Guardian Elder Care Center, Nanticoke. Mr. Traver was born in Miners Mills on September 6, 1929, and was the son of the late Michael and Alice Schooley Traver. He served in the Marine Corps during WW II. Prior to his retirement, Corey owned and operated Travers Repair in Noxen. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Danette Schietrumph; brothers: Gene and David; a sister: Alice Potter Surviving are his wife, the former Connie J. Will; son: David Traver and his wife, Connie of Pikes Creek; Daughter: Sandra Harris of Dallas. A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
