Obituary of Mary Lou Pasbach

Mary Pasbach, age 85 of Sylvan Lake, formerly of Boonton, NJ, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Mary was born in Lincoln, NE on December 1, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Leslie and Bessie Sanborn Johnson.
Mary graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, NE and was employed as a clerical employee for the FBI in Washington, D.C. where she met her husband Larry of 65 years. She was later a manager of the Cast-a-Way Shop for Riverside/St. Claire's Hospital and a real estate agent in Boonton, NJ. As a foster mother of many children in Milwaukee, WI, she was designated as foster mother of the year in 1956. Mary enjoyed collectables, cooking, gardening, traveling, and was a voracious reader.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Bill Pasbach, and granddaughter, Amy Gene Pasbach.
In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by son, Bob Pasbach and his wife Franny of Liberty, MO; daughters, Peggy Elliott and her husband David of Boardman, OH, Claudia Gonda and her husband George of East Stroudsburg, and Diana Thorn and her husband John of Portland, PA; sisters, Marcia Schmidt, Ginny Skie, Laurie Mercer; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 17, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. Chris Priestaf of the Mount Bethel Lutheran Brethren, officiating.
Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday prior to the service.
Entombment will be in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
