Dear Billy, Jimmy and Maggie,
The loss of a mother is hard. May God bless you all. Your mother embodied qualities we all hope to have; generosity, strength, warmth, humor, kindness and real common sense. She was a tremendous lady. She was my confirmation sponsor, she was an inspiration to me. Aunt Margie lives on in all the family and people that were lucky enough to know her.
She is truly in God's care now. My condolences to all.
Love,
Ellen

To my cousins, Bill, Jimmy and Maggie,
Tim and I send our most sincere condolences. Her sudden loss, after a brief illness is stunning. I was always so impressed by her vitality and vigorous presence. My family is full of writers, reporters, & Irishmen with the gift of the written word. Not me, so much. But I am the 7th of 9 (close to Margie). And my fondest memories include those around the kitchen table and in the swimming pool, at Harvey's Lake. My brother, Marc, got it right, when he expressed she embodied a warm, Irish welcome. And what a lovely family she raised and I am impressed with her home town, civic contributions. May she rest in peace and we are better to have shared this rich legacy of O'Boyle, and Purcell spirit & family. I'm sorry we can not share this day of remembrance with you. Una & Tim
God Bless.

My favorite thoughts about Aunt Margie revolve around her voice. Didn't she have the best, most distinctive voice and laugh? When I think back to so many times at the lake I think of many of the stories Margie would tell about all the relatives and their circle. Very entertaining! We who got to go to the lake were blessed: with the experience, the fun, the welcome...again and again. Aunt Margie represents the best of our family, the best of being an O'Boyle, the best of life. I send my condolences to my cousins and their extended families. There is no replacing Aunt Margie.

To Margie’s family I am sorry for your loss. Your mother and father were wonderful welcoming people.
Around that kitchen table, just a few summers ago, I was able to sit with Aunt Margie, Aunt Eileen and Joe and reminisce. I am so grateful I was able to make the visit.
Rest in peace, Aunt Margie

I was blessed to have Aunt Margie and Uncle Bill as my god parents. Times at Harvey's Lake were the best of times. When I attended King's Aunt Margie made her house my home away from home. It was always a wonderful adventure. Rest in peace Aunt Margie, forever in my heart.

She looks so beautiful in the posted photo...I was told she played the cello as a young woman, perhaps around the time the photo was taken. I will always remember her ready laugh, her natural friendly east way and her uncommon common sense. She was always positive, always fun and always cut through the nonsense. I loved her so very much and am so sorry for my cousins' loss. Like my siblings, some of my most cherished childhood memories revolve around Aunt Margie. I know that she rests in peace.

Sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing her for many years. Her political support was unending and most valued. I will always consider her to be "THE LADY OF THE LAKE."

My heart felt sympathy on the passing of your beautiful mother. She truly was a matriarch! I will always remember her for being knowledgeable, patient, kind, and GOD fearing. Margaret and her family will always have history of treasured memories at Harvey"s Lake. I will sincerely miss her presence!

My Aunt Margie was a great Mom and Aunt with a great sense of humor and the gift of the Irish.
Margie put out the welcome mat at her home. Her kindness of heart was evident.
She was a defender of Harvey's Lake long before it was called environmentalism.
And she could see through your malarkey.

To my cousins and your families; I'm so very sorry for your loss---I know it's a profound one. Your mom was so many things to so many people: she along with my mom and Aunt Eileen was one of my earliest role models: they were three vital, capable women. Aunt Margie truly embodied so much of the spirit of "the Greatest Generation". She got on with the business of life no matter what was handed to her, but always managed to find the joy in things---and share it. She gave all of us Ryans so many happy summer memories. I hope you find comfort in each other, and in the bits of her character you find in each other and your children.
