Obituary of Richard Leroy Moss

Richard Leroy Moss, age 57 of Mossville, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 at home. Mr. Moss was born in Johnson City, NY on December 3, 1956 and was the son of Kermit C. Moss of Stillwater, formerly of Mossville and the late Betty Wilkinson Moss. Richard graduated from Northwest High School in 1975 and served in the US Army from 1975-1978. He was employed by Offset Paperback in Dallas for 31 years. Richard enjoyed to hunt, fish, and farm. In addition to his father, he is survived by son, Kenneth Moss of Tunkhannock; daughter, Laura Schweizer and her husband Paul of Franklin Twp.; brother, Ronald Moss of Midland, TX; sisters, Linda Moss of Pottstown, Elaine Moss of Davenport, IA, and Joyce Moss of Philadelphia; 2 grandchildren, Joscelyn and Lacey. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Chaplain Dennis Gray officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 am - 11:00 am prior to the service on Thursday. Interment will be in Mossville Cemetery. Richard had requested to omit flowers from his funeral. In lieu of flowers, he requests memorial donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
