Obituary of Joseph Eugene Roginski

Joseph E. Roginski, age 71 of Sweet Valley, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at home, following a long illness. Mr. Roginski was born in West Nanticokeand was the son of the late Leo and Lillian Roginski. Joseph worked at Trumbowers Market, then he and his wife Maureen owned and operated M & J Market for over 20 years. After closing the business, he worked for Sams Club for several years. Upon retiring, Joseph enjoyed gardening and hunting. (He was a member of the All Saints Parish, Plymouth?) He was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard and Frank Roginski, and sister, Cathy Brooks. Joseph is survived by his wife, the former Maureen Kovitch; sister, Marie Roginski of Sweet Valley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118 Pikes, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM am from the All Saints Parish, 66 Willow St., Plymouth, with Rev. Bob Kelleher, officiating. Friends may call 4:00 - 6:00PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers if desired, the family request memorial donations to be made to the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Dr., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
