Obituary of Carolyn Elaine Kottler

Carolyn Elaine Kottler, age 66 of Sweet Valley, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Mrs. Kottler was born January 26, 1948 in Philadelphia, and was the daughter of the late Charles and Caroline Heston Carden. Carolyn graduated from Roxborough High School in 1965 and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathleen Kottler and her brothers, Donald, Joseph, and Ronald Carden. Surviving are her husband of 48 years, John; sons: John Kottler of Harveys Lake and Joseph Kottler of Hunlock Creek; daughters: Christine Kottler of Sweet Valley, Jeanette Kottler of Luzerne, Carole Stuart of Huntington Mills, Sandy Kottler of Shickshinny, Cyndi Kottler of Edwardsville; brothers: Charles Carden of Philadelphia and John Carden of Norristown; 25 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Kottler's funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek, with Rocky Bonomo of the Sweet Valley Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 12:00 Noon - 1:00 PM prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
