Obituary of Donna Marie Swire

Donna Marie Swire, age 53 of Kingston, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at the ManorCare Health Services, Kingston. Mrs. Swire was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 22, 1960 and was the daughter of the late Robert and Gladys Anderson Reed. Donna graduated from Lake-Lehman High School in 1978 and was employed as a waitress at Curry Donuts in Edwardsville. She was a member of Dr. Edwards Memorial Congregation in Edwardsville. Donna enjoyed playing Texas Hold 'Em, barbeques, amusement parks with family, and listening to Donny Osmond. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her life. Surviving is her husband, Fred Swire of Lehman; children, Bobbi Jo Swire and her fianc Duane Pretzman of Plains, Jared Swire of Wilkes-Barre Twp., Andrew Swire and his fianc Brooke Keeler of Pittston, and Casey Swire and companion Evan Petrosky of Kingston; brothers, Robert Reed and his wife Zenida of Lake Silkworth and John Reed of Hunlock Creek; sister, Patricia Wolfe of Hanover Twp.; grandchildren, Michael, Emma, Noah, Cameron, and Jude. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. L.D. Reed, pastor of the Emmanuel Assembly of God Church, Harveys Lake, officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be sent to Fred Swire, 302 Outlet Rd., Dallas, PA 18612 to help with financial assistance for the services.
