Obituary of Russell George Williams

Russell "Hap" G. Williams, age 64 of Edwardsville, formerly of Meeker, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at the Kindred Hospital of Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Williams was born July 26, 1949 in Liberal, KS and was the son of the late Arthur and Helen Quickenstedt Williams. He was employed as a logger and heavy equipment operator for various companies in both Washington state and California. Russell enjoyed prospecting for gold, hunting, bass fishing and spending time with his granddaughter, Angelica and his step-son, Joe. He was preceded in death by sons: Russell W. and Robert. In addition to his granddaughter and step-son, he is survived by his wife of 14 years, the former Lori Winters and his daughter, Stefni Retofsky of Ohio, nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek on Tuesday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM for visitation. Funeral service will be private. Russell's family kindly requests that flowers be omitted.
