Obituary of Betty Ann Edwards

Betty Ann Edwards, age 81 of Lehman, passed away Friday, January 17, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Edwards was born in Wilkes-Barre on December 21, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen Kuzmak Yamelski. Betty was an Avon representative in the area for many years. She enjoyed listening to her music especially polkas and country western. Betty was a devoted wife and mother who took great pride in making a beautiful home for her family. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gerald, and brother, Gerald Yamelski. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hilbert Edwards; son, Randall and his wife Helen; 3 grandchildren, Lory Floryan and her husband John, Randy Edwards, and Samuel Edwards and his fianc Michelle Christopher; 4 great-grandchildren, Julianna and Charlie (Pete) Floryan, Brandon Edwards, and Jackson Edwards. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 11:00 pm from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor Bob Ryder of the Lehman-Idetown United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
