Obituary of Barbara Marie Stockage

Barbara M. Stockage, age 75 of Sweet Valley, was taken home in the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. Mrs. Stockage was born in Manhattan, NY on March 4, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary DiAlto. Barbara was employed as a nurse's aide at the former Carpenter's Nursing Home, Harveys Lake and later retiring from Fernwood Manor, Pikes Creek. She is survived by husband, Charles J. Stockage with whom she would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on January 23; children, Charlie E. Stockage, Theresa Krasucki and her husband Steve, Lisa Barber and her husband Jim, Deb Carey and her husband PJ, and Jay Stockage and his wife Tracy; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek with Rev. Mr. Thomas Cesarini of Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, officiating Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
