Kathryn R. Gregory, age 74 of Ranson, West Virginia , passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at the Pinnacle Health Hospital, Harrisburg, surrounded by her five children and their spouses at the time of her passing.

Kay touched countless lives as a mother, grandmother, and babysitter. The full scope of her influence can never be fully appreciated. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was an Eastern Star member, and enjoyed games with family and friends. Her religious faith was one that she set to a high standard for all and carried that faith in Christ into her final hours.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Myron; infant daughter, Carol; mother, Kathryn; father, William Root; and sisters, Patricia and Connie.

She is survived by her five children, sons, Greg, William, and Matthew, daughters, Kathy and Ellen; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 12 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with her son, Pastor Matthew Gregory, officiating.

Friends may call from 10 AM - to the time of the service on Monday.

Interment will be in Bloomindale Cemetery.
