Obituary of Walter William Cepukaitis

Walter W. Cepukaitis, age 79 of Harveys Lake, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, with his family by his side.
Mr. Cepukaitis was born in Shenandoah on October 14, 1934 and was the son of the late Walter G. and Evelyn Savakinas Czepukaitis.
Walter graduated from J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict he also served as a Merchant Marine on the Great Lakes for 3 years. He was employed by General Motors in Linden, NJ for 32 years. Walter resided in Shenandoah for most of his life prior to moving to Harveys Lake 29 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and picking mushrooms. He was a member of the Harveys Lake American Legion, Brandonville Fishing and Game Club, South Mountain Land Association, and the NRA.
Walter is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former Ann McNamara; son, Walter A. Cepukaitis and his wife Debbie of Woodbine, GA; daughters, Alexis Cepukaitis of Harveys Lake and Teresa "Gina" Pleva and her husband James of Pottsville; sisters, Teresa Sakowski of Levittown and Judy Beckett of Mahanoy City; grandchildren, Christan Daniels, Terri Newswanger, and Bryce Woodward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 10:30 AM from the Our Lady of Victory Church, Harveys Lake, with the Rev. Daniel Toomey officiating.
Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
