Obituary of Frank John Roginski

Frank J. Roginski, age 77 of Sweet Valley, passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Roginski was born in West Nanticoke on January 15, 1936 and was the son of the late Leo and Lillian Wienkowski Roginski. Frank graduated from Lehman High School in 1953 and received his associate's degree from Wilkes-Barre Business College. He was employed by the UGI Corporation for 38 years and was currently employed by Trade Eastern in Wilkes-Barre. Frank was a life member of the Trucksville Volunteer Fire Co. and the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Co. where he served as fire police captain. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, the Luzerne County Fire Police and the Penn State Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frank was always willing to help his family and friends whenever they were in need. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Leonard Roginski and sister, Katherine Brooks. Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Joan Gaydos; daughter, Rita Dincher and her husband Tim of Bradford, daughter, Mary Roginski of Sweet Valley, son, Frank Roginski, Jr. and his wife Laura of Bethlehem, GA, and daughter, Patricia Ash and her husband John of Sweet Valley; brother, Joseph Roginski of Sweet Valley; sister, Marie Roginski of Sweet Valley; 7 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15, 2013 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, with the Rev. Joseph Pisaneschi officiating. Interment will be in the St. Casimir's Cemetery, Hunlock Twp. Friends may call 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Company, PO Box 207, Sweet Valley, PA 18656.
