Obituary of Joseph Richard Pramick

Joseph R. Pramick, age 79 of Hunlock Creek, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph T. Pramick of Dupont on September 21, 1932, he spent his childhood farming with his father on the family farm. He graduated from Shickshinny High School in 1950 and soon entered into a career of plastering. He was employed as a plasterer/foreman for Culp Brothers, Duggan and Marcon and Coslett Construction throughout his 34 year career. Upon retirement Joseph established the JOD-DEL Christmas Tree Farm in Hunlock Creek. He also indulged in his love of travel, visiting 48 states, Iceland, Costa Rica, Punta Cana, Aruba and the Bahamas. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, the former Evelyn Lorraine Space; daughter: Debbie Whitesell and her husband, Dean of Hunlock Creek; son: Joseph J. Pramick of Huntington Mills; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 26 at 5:30 PM from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 & 118, Pikes Creek. Friends may call 4:00 - 5:30 PM prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Hospice Community Care, 601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704 or Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Ave., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
