Obituary of Helen Stella Monaco

Helen S. Monaco, age 71 of Sweet Valley, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services, Kingston. Mrs. Monaco was born in Newark, NJ on December 1, 1941 and was the daughter of Valeria Rueter Waszkiewicz of Union, NJ and the late Chester Waszkiewicz. Helen graduated from Union High School in 1960 and worked as a seamstress for various sewing factories until her retirement from Encon, Fernbrook. She enjoyed crocheting. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Pasquale Monaco; daughters, Kathleen Fennimore and her husband Robert of Union, NJ and Susan Langston and her husband Tony of Mertztown; sons, Michael Monaco and his wife Daniella of Sweet Valley, Anthony Monaco and his fianc Julie Deeley of Forty-Fort, and Pasquale Monaco and his wife Erin of Shavertown; brother, Stephen Waszkiewicz of Parkville, MD; grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Mikella, and Robert. A prayer service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Rev. Richard Fox of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Pikes Creek. Friends may call from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
