Obituary of Thomas Stephen Rusnak

Thomas Stephen Rusnak, Jr., age 70 of Hunlock Creek, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Rusnak was born in Kingston on March 2, 1943 and was the son of the late Thomas Sr. and Caroline Cigarski Rusnak.
Tom was a 1960 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and was employed by B.G. Coon Construction, Luzerne for 20 years and later became sole proprietor of Lehman Power Equipment for 28 years, retiring 2 years ago. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a Lake Silkworth Lion's Club member. Tom enjoyed fishing in Canada and at his home in Beauford, S.C, hunting, working outside in the yard, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always willing to help family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Rusnak.
Tom is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Pavlick and they would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on July 3rd; daughters, Stacey Novak and her husband John and Heather Rusnak, both of Newport Township; sister, Emily Bruno of Dallas; grandchildren, Kelsey, Johnny, and Ashley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 9:30 am from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corners of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am from the Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, with Rev. Richard Fox officiating.
Friends may call from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to be made to Hospice Community Care, 601 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
