Obituary of Michelle Diane Mikelski

Michelle D. Mikelski, 61, of Sweet Valley unexpectedly passed away at home on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1963 in Norristown, PA, the daughter of Alma Brands and the late James Brands. She was a graduate of Stroudsburg High School and East Stroudsburg University. She was employed by Area Agency on Aging in Luzerne County for 33 years, retiring in 2020.Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Olivia. She was an avid animal lover, playing Mom to her two dogs, Beatrice and Peaches. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Joseph Mikelski, Sweet Valley, PA; Daughters, Elizabeth Wendoloski and her husband Adam, West Point, NY; Jennifer Mikelski, New Cumberland, PA; Son, Joseph Mikelski, Hanover Twp, PA; Grandaughter, Olivia Wendoloski, West Point, NY; Mother, Alma Brands, Effort, PA; and Brother, Darren Brands, Bartonsville, PA. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michelle's memory to Rescue Pets Serving Vets, Benton, PA 17814. Arrangements are by the Curtis L.
