Gerald D. Roe, age 91 formerly of Dunmore, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the Bonham's Nursing Center, Stillwater, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Binghamton, NY on November 22, 1933 and was the son of the late Clarence and Genevieve Roe.

Gerald received his GED and served in the US Army and Navy. He retired as a roofer for James E. Dadey Sheet Metal and Roofing, Dunmore. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Roe; numerous brothers and sisters; grandchild, Kristie Brady.

Gerald is survived by daughter, Debra Rutkowski of Scranton; grandchildren, Jennifer Meyers (Alex) of Kingston, Lisa Brady of Jermyn, and Jerry Brady of Scott Twp.; great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Emily, Alex, Silas, Kaden, Konner; numerous nieces and nephews.

At his request, there will be no funeral services or calling hours.

Private interment will be in Elmhurst Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek.
