Nancy Marie Bennett Obituary

Nancy M. Bennett, 86, of Monroe Township, was welcomed into the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ, after passing peacefully Thursday evening at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, surrounded by her family.


 


Born on September 10, 1938 to the late Lowell "Bud" and Lillian Crispell Boone, Nancy resided her entire life in Buckwheat Hollow, Monroe Township.


 


Nancy loved shopping, traveling, a good cup of coffee, ice cream, and most importantly, her family. She proudly served as Judge of Elections for many years for Monroe Township. Nancy leaves behind her husband of 66 years, Robert L. Bennett; sons, Jeff (Vicky) of Noxen and Brad (Keri) of Centermoreland; sister, Sharon (David) Buck; grandchildren, Lindsey, Cole, Halle, Schyler, and Madison; nieces, Chelsea, Alyssa, and Brielle; and 4 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way.


 


Funeral services will be held Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00 from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home, Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with Pastor John Shaffer, Springville United Methodist, officiating.


 


Visitation will be Thursday, December 26, 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM


 


Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas.


 


Memorial donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 375 Kings Highway North, Suite B, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.


The family would like to thank the ICU Staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley for their care and compassion during her treatment and passing, Dr. William Hottenstein, her Primary Care Physician, and Geisinger Home Health Nurse, Kristen Yingst, who went above and beyond for years treating Nancy during her illness.
